Step Two
Choose financing
Financing - In need of a loan? I can refer you to various local lenders who will help get you set on the best financial path forward for pre-approval. If you're paying with cash, you can skip this step!
Step Three
Home hunting
Here comes the fun part! Based on your housing criteria, we'll go out and explore many of the beautiful homes Portland has to offer. Once we've found the one, we'll get to work on structuring a strategic offer.
Step Four
Home inspections + negotiations
Upon offer acceptance, we will get an in-depth evaluation of the home with a general home inspection and other invasive inspections. Should any issues arise, we can negotiate with the seller to either do repairs, provide a credit towards your closing costs and/or rate buydown, and even a price reduction. I always advocate for my clients to the best of my ability and will strive for results that make you feel confident (and happy) about moving forward.
Step Five
Appraisal
Lenders typically require a neutral third party appraiser to do a full assessment of the property to ensure the appraisal value supports the loan amount and overall purchase price. In some cases, an appraisal may be waived.
Step Six
Signing
Once the appraisal report has been submitted to the lender, the escrow company will gather your closing documents and coordinate your signing date, typically within a few days of your closing date. Once the closing date arrives, the loan will be funded and the new deed will be recorded with the county.

Congratulations, you're officially a homeowner! We'll meet at your new home by 5pm for a quick key exchange and a sweet photo of you + your new digs!
Not your first rodeo?
No problem! Even if this is your second or third home purchase, I'll aim to provide refreshers along the way and will ensure you have a great understanding of the home buying journey moving forward. However a familiar process, you'll be treated with the same level of care & attention as if you were a first timer.
One of the biggest compliments I receive from my seasoned buyers is that they wish they had me around for their first home purchase!
